Lunar New Year at AUI

Image from iOS (42)   Happy Year of the Rat! This year, AUI celebrated Lunar New Year at our Garden City campus as well as our Manhattan Center. Our campuses were beautifully decorated with red paper lanterns, and we served traditional foods eaten during New Years festivities like noodles, dumplings and rice cakes! Our students had a great time making new friends, ringing in the new year, and celebrating the beginning of the Spring semester. Take a look at some of our pictures below: One of our Manhattan Center students, Bilegsaikhan Ganbat, is from Mongolia and shared his experience on how Lunar New year is celebrated back at home. He said, “Lunar New Year in Mongolia is called ‘Tsagaan Sar’, which means white moon. We celebrate this time with our parents, brothers and sisters.” We were so fortunate to celebrate with all of our students with food, fun and friends and wish everyone happiness and prosperity this year!
