Delmonico’s Etiquette Luncheon

2.6.20 – Etiquette Luncheon 2   AUI Student Advisor, Hari Choe, and AUI Instructor, Olivia Limbu, collaborated with our Career Accelerator Program (CAP) on Thursday February 7th, 2020, and offered students an exciting opportunity to dine at NYC’s “first restaurants,” Delmonico’s!   Delmonico’s is known as “New York City’s first restaurant,” since they opened in Manhattan’s Financial District in 1837. The restaurant is the birthplace of the American classic brunch dish, Eggs Benedict. Delmonico’s has also hosted a number of famous people, such as Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Theodore Roosevelt, Napoleon III, JFK, Oscar Wilde, Obama, Nikola Tesla, and more! Dining at Delmonico’s is considered “fine dining” and AUI students were able to experience this dining culture during Restaurant Week in NYC!   An important part of CAP is students learning that whether you are dining with colleagues or trying to impress an important client over lunch, maintaining a professional image is key to making a good impression. Therefore, this was the perfect event for our CAP students to learn how to build their formal dining etiquette skills to prepare them for business meals and interviews.   Check out some pictures from our event below!
