School Psychology (M.A.)

Adelphi’s nationally-accredited M.A. in School Psychology program provides a unique approach for working with students in diverse settings. This approach integrates both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches. All within a framework that promotes appreciation for diversity and an understanding of the many factors that affect the academic and social-emotional development of children and adolescents.
Admission into School Psychology M.A. is through direct entry or the General Psychology M.A. accelerator program. After successful completion of General Psychology progression criteria, student may submit a GRE score in order to qualify for an interview with the department. Upon passing the interview, students may change their major to School Psychology. Admission to the program isn’t guaranteed.
